Sydney Aquarium
With one of the largest fish-tanks in the world Sydney Aquarium is one of Sydney’s top tourist attractions. Opened almost two decades ago, the building resembles a giant wave, that reflects both its aquatic theme and its prime location right on the edge of Darling Harbour. Sydney Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world featuring an amazing 11,000 aquatic animals.
The aquarium features a Seal Sanctuary, Great Barrier Reef Complex, Open Ocean Oceanarium and a River display. Visitors to Sydney Aquarium can experience the mystery of the deep blue sea as they walk on the ocean floor through over 140 metres of underwater tunnels.
The aquarium features a selection of marine wildlife that ranges from platypi and crocodiles to penguins, seals, sharks and tropical fish.
